iCoRRIC Charter

Dedicated to advancing the understanding of socio-economic processes within and across regions, through improved theory, methods, technology, and data

Recent years have seen a renewed recognition of the important role of regional research. This has created an environment in which important advances in understanding of regions and regional systems have developed largely independently. Little advantage of the potential synergies among regional research institutes and centers has been taken, and no central research agenda has evolved. In response, a broad representation of regional research institutes and centers have come together to form the International Consortium of Regional Research Institutes and Centers (CORRIC) to ensure that a coherent view emerges.

iCoRRIC Mission

To serve as an effective, unified voice for the regional research community;
To foster multidisciplinary and inter-institutional research and education; and
To promote the informed and responsible use of regional research and analysis for the benefit of society.
